Indications & wound types
For moderate-to-highly exuding acute or chronic wounds, including pressure injuries, diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, surgical incisions, and wounds with infection or at high risk of infection. Recommended to pair with Mepilex® Border Flex or Zetuvit Plus Silicone (Border) as the secondary dressing. Depending on wound condition, it can remain in place for up to 7 days to support “undisturbed healing.”

❓ FAQs (collapsible)
1) How often should I change it? Depending on exudate and clinical assessment, it can remain in place for up to 7 days. Replace earlier if the secondary dressing is saturated or leakage appears at the edges.
2) Can it be cut to size? Yes. Cut to fit so the wound is fully covered. For cavities or tunnels, gently pack with the 2×45 cm ribbon and avoid over-packing.
3) Do I need border or protective film? We recommend Mepilex® Border Flex as the secondary dressing. It captures transferred exudate, protects peri-wound skin, and improves securement.
4) How is it different from Aquacel® Ag+ Extra? In a randomized clinical comparison (venous leg ulcers, n=248), Exufiber® Ag+ showed better fluid lock-in, easier removal, greater wound size reduction, and higher overall satisfaction; in vivo data also show reduced/prevented biofilm reformation.
5) Any allergies or contraindications? Do not use if allergic to any component. If you have silver sensitivity or situations where silver should be avoided (certain medical procedures), consult a healthcare professional first.
