Made in Germany, HydroClean® is a hydro-responsive wound dressing pre-activated with Ringer’s solution. It continuously releases fluid while absorbing exudate, removing necrotic tissue, bacteria, and proteases. This supports autolytic debridement, creates a moist wound environment, and reduces infection risk without antimicrobials. Recommended as a first-line option for wound bed preparation. Available sizes include round 4cm, 5.5cm, square 7.5×7.5cm, 10×10cm, 10×17cm, as well as Mini and Cavity formats.

Recommended Secondary Dressing / Fixation

Mepilex® Border Flex: For low to moderate exudate, provides comfortable silicone-bordered fixation.
Zetuvit® Plus Silicone Border: For high exudate levels, offers superior absorption and secure sealing.
Hydrofilm® breathable film: For light fixation or when high breathability is required.

Choose the secondary cover according to exudate level and skin condition.

What wounds is HydroClean® suitable for?

Indicated for wounds with necrotic tissue or fibrin, such as pressure injuries, diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, and wounds needing bed preparation.

How often should it be changed?

Typically every 24–72 hours depending on exudate and clinical assessment; change more frequently if exudate is heavy.

Does it contain antimicrobials?

No, HydroClean® contains no silver or PHMB. It works by continuous fluid release and absorption to physically reduce bacterial load.

What secondary dressing should I use?

For low–moderate exudate: Mepilex® Border Flex. For high exudate: Zetuvit® Plus Silicone Border. For light fixation or high breathability: Hydrofilm®.
